I'm not a regular customer here. My furbaby had some issues while visiting my sister and she called to see if I could get in on an emergent basis. The staff was EXCELLENT and things worked out very well! If I lived in WV I would travel to this facility for my pet care.
They are amazing. I know they have to keep the lights on so all and all for the level of service they provided the price was really reasonable. I don't want to be graphic but lets just say my kitty did something really disgusting to the doc and she just kept right on going and didn't miss a beat. That was just the tip of the iceberg for the great service the whole staff provided.
Dr. Owen is completely dedicated to the individual care of the pets she sees. She is excellent at communicating options and costs, and putting together a care plan specific to a pet and family. Dr. Owen took care of our old beagle as he had challenges late in life, including congestive heart failure, and I will always be grateful for her investment in his emotional and physical well-being. She is the whole package, the kind of doctor who might personally make a phone call to check on a pet's recovery post-surgery. I would add that Dr. Pollock has been wonderful when Dr. Owen has been unavailable. Also, although I consider this much less material in choosing a veterinarian, the clinic's new building is welcoming and spotless.
We love Hillcrest. They are good. They are caring. And they are NOT focused purely on making a quick buck. Every time I go there I think, "Really, we need to model the American Healthcare system on this model." However, that might make too much sense. So, in the meantime... I am grateful for the care that my pets get from them. I like that they have a holistic approach to your pet's health.
Absolutely amazing! We have been going here for about 5 years now and the staff could not be better and the new facility is great as well. We recently had to put down one of our pets and while a very difficult decision and process, the vet and all of the staff at Hillcrest were amazing. They were incredibly helpful and supportive and made a very difficult process bearable. So thankful to have such an amazing place to take our furry family members.
