Staff very friendly! Although my initial estimate was a bit high, they were more than willing to work with me on the price for my emergency situation.... I brought my cat there in a box bc he didn’t fit in the pet carrier I had, and bounus they had an old one laying around and sent him home in it so he’d be more comfortable. Great place.
Just had a terrible experience here that taught me that they do not care about animals here, only money. Took my dog to get her nails trimmed and later that evening we noticed that her nail and foot were bleeding pretty badly. She has never had foot or nail problems before this so I called cheat lake to have them look at the foot and help her out to not be in pain since I believe it was the trimming that caused the injury to begin with. I was told that I would be charged another 130 dollar charge for them just to look at her foot. So after charging me 120 dollars for vaccinations and nail trimmings earlier that day, that night they wanted to charge me 130 to help her not be in pain from their mistake. Do not trust your family pets in this place. Go to a place that actually cares about animals. I will never go here again.
I brought my 2 year old beagle mix here Sunday morning because of bloody vomit and diarrhea. They told me shortly after I brought her that she had HGE (a disease that occurs suddenly in healthy dogs and can kill them quickly if not treated). I was of course extremely panicked and worried but they eased my mine and said they see this a lot. They assured me that most dogs recover quickly after being admitted and that I didn't have anything to worry about. When I dropped off my dog she was in awful condition. Lethargic, in pain, and losing a lot of blood. After just one night stay they had her feeling brand new. I was amazed by how quickly she recovered. They truly treated Ava as one of their own and took amazing care of her. I could tell she loved all the techs and vets. It was clear she was in good hands. They're wonderful and I can't thank them enough for saving my baby!
Our family had to use this vet for the worst reason. Our dog, Brody, had to be put down late at night. They were very busy but never made us feel like they were. The staff individually and genuinely gave us their sympathy. The vet explained everything step by step and it made it very comforting. We will be forever grateful for their care and the lovely paw print remembrance.
We took my dog, Sasha, there for a check up and her vaccinations. While she was there my husband had them clip her nails. When we brought her home we noticed her foot was bleeding from one of her nails. When we called to see if we could bring her in to have them take a look they told us it would be $130 to fix what I’m fairly certain was caused by them. She has never had any problems with her paws/nails before and it just seems strange that on the day they messed with them this would happen. My in-laws also took their puppy there a couple months ago to get her nails clipped and while clipping them they accidentally made the puppy bleed. They had blood all over the floor and the dog was crying and whimpering so this is not the first time our family has had a problem related to the nail trimmings.
