I took my son (15) in as he had been going there since he was a small child. They were always nice from what I can remember. But this time was different. They were cold, and they said my son needed braces! He has PERFECT teeth! I told my son we would get a second opinion. The next dentist I took him to said he most definitely did not need braces. They want to do unnecessary things and now I'm hearing that they are strapping down helpless children on papoose boards?! Don't go there people!
Horrific! "Light restraints", no not at all.
I wish I had read Google and other reviews before bringing my son here. I assumed that it would be the best place to bring my son since they specialize in adolescent dentistry. I was completely wrong. The office is set up like an indoor playground and of course the kids love it. The staff was extremely friendly and went over how my son's procedure would be done. They told me how they'd explain everything and make him feel completely safe while doing the light restraints and giving him the sedation shot. I was not allowed back during his procedure and waited in the waiting room. They pushed for the money and after paying, my son was brought into the room with me. I have never in my life seen my 7 year old that upset and it broke my heart. I could see the thick restraint marks on his wrists. They did not tell me that they were using Velcro. After coming home, he told me that the Doctor yelled at him to stop crying and he also said that they strapped his arms and legs down and didn't talk to him while they did it. He also said that it hurt when they pulled his tooth and tried telling them. If they properly sedated and numbed my son, HE SHOULDN'T HAVE FELT ANYTHING! They don't video record the procedures and I can completely understand why now! I will never recommend this company, nor will I ever take my child here again.
yes, it has a playground and toys. yes it tends to be geared more for pre-adolescent, but man, my kids have never had one issue. they have done an awesome job on all 4 kids (ages 7,9, 15, and 17) I look at the negative reviews, and best I can tell they are rare exceptions or petrified kids, ...but I have never seen it...not from mine or from kids I see in the place.
They said my son needed a filling which he did tiny pin hole , not brown or anything, so we set the appointment up two day befre the appointment i recieved a letter about them trying to get 15 caps approved . illegally billed my insurance for several procedures they did not do .i showed up to the appointment to discuss this mishap with someone and the recptionists said all i did was waste the dentists time and was completly rude . .. Just if you go here watch your insuranse . they think toys and playhouses make up for there awfull attitudes and mistreatment of children
