I took my car in for a scheduled 4 wheel alignment and at first thought it was great. They have an ok waiting area with a TV and old VCR and vhs tapes for the kids to watch. Going home it was clear my front wheels were not aligned. Called them and he said it's probably just the road. It was not the road. So I took it back in and they did it again. I I noticed the mechanic was rather rough with taking the things off of my wheels. I was worried they broke something. My husband had to change the struts yesterday and noticed that the tie rod thing was not tightened and proceeded to tell me they didn't tighten the tie rod end back up. This was on the front. The rear needs new struts but it is making an awful sound now after them messing with it and I have been telling my husband there is something wrong that they messed something up back there but he hasn't gotten a chance to take the wheel off and actually look at it. As soon as he takes those wheels off to do those struts we will see if they screwed something up.
Poor management of time and service. They break items on your vehicle and lie about it when immediately confronted. I watched the mechanic break it. His boss denied it, thinking I was a woman and he would get away with it. My husband was on the phone before I ever left the place. The manager had to admit to his wrong doing and make it right. I highly recommend avoiding this place.
This place used to be pretty good when Bob was running it. He is gone and now the place is questionable at best. I have used them the last two times as I wanted to give them a second chance. Both times it was the same deal- the manager hangs out at the desk and one employee tackles a garage full of 4 cars. The "manager" is not exactly personable and really puts of the vibe that he doesn't want to be there and looks annoyed when customers come in. Seemed surprised when I showed up for my appointment and had to explain what needed to be done etc like they didn't even put me down when I scheduled my appointment. Took 4.5 hours to put on 4 tires mainly because my car sat in the lot untouched for several hours. What is the point of making an appointment for a specific time if they can't even come close to working on it for hours? You might as well drop it off the night before. Professionalism and customer service here is non existent. I won't be going back, I have had much better experiences at other tire shops in town.
I took my car to Monro to get the tires changed. They only had one trainee mechanic and the manager, Bill, working that day. They didn't tighten the lug nuts properly and later that day my back left tire fell off of the car in the middle of the highway. It was a very serious situation. They didn't make a mistake; it was simply negligence.
They didn't apologize or act appropriately (by working hard or quickly) after they severely damaged my car and put my life in jeopardy. It was simply an unprofessional job, and they obviously don't put a lot of care in the work that they do. I leave this experience feeling taken advantage of and not respected as a customer. I would highly recommend going somewhere else.
I live quite far outside of town, received phone estimate on 4 struts/alignment for my car....arrived next day to find estimate $500 more! Bill stated he lost my paper estimate he printed day before and he had the year of the car wrong which bumped the price up considerably...really? There's a reason I walked away and went next door for $400 cheaper than Monro's inflated pricing. And ya wonder why they're only receiving 2.5/5 stars rating on the internet.
Later they told me that they would fix my car and have it ready in a few days, and they said that they would "take care of it" instead of filing an insurance claim. My car sat outside without completely being looked at for 6 days and then they finally said they were now going to a file a claim. It took them a week to provide me with a rental car, and it was pretty clear they weren't concerned about the inconvenience that they had caused me. Furthermore, they told me that they would communicate with me frequently throughout the process. Bill, the manager, never contacted me once throughout the process. Not once. I had to call his boss to get more information.
